A Prayer

Here, I came, young and teared,
She took me in her arms.
That warded tear and fear
For I was in thy arms.

I stalked path of thorn and stone
Million moments of life.
I knew I wouldn't fall
For thou backed up my strife.

I pray to thee, night and day,
My hope, friend and peer.
Confession, expression finds thy way
All seasons a year.

Thou art, Almighty, one of
The nine reasons I live.
The other eight, unimportant,
Those I'd rather leave.

Words fail, as I behold
The good I got in alms.
And if death call, I'd embrace
For I'd still be in thy arms.
